Thank you for reporting back, I'm closing the bug as Invalid then (not
supported package).
It appears to cause trouble with Hardy though.. I think this might be
PulseAudio related (there is likely some other bug for it).
Don't hesitate to report any other bugs you may find.

I installed virtualbox from Sun official site. VB from repositories (version
1.5.xxx OSE) didnt work, it caused errors like described up.
Now I finally try VB for gutsy, because Hardy is not stable on my notebook so I
went back to gutsy.
I'll try to test it now. Again it's download from the Sun
VB 1.6.2 for Gutsy run too. There's problem only with old vdi file. It
won't to boot from it. But it's not a such problem, I'll create new vdi
file.
I think, VB 1.6.2 is not problem now for Hardy even Gutsy. It was
downloaded from Sun official site.

Have you installed virtualbox from the official site, or from the Ubuntu
repositories?
1.6.2 does not appear to be available through the Ubuntu archive. I've uploaded
it to Intrepid (development version), but it hasn't been backported, as far as
I can see.

Any chance that the install pulled in another kernel flavor and you're
now missing kernel modules, e.g. for sound? (see bug 226960)
Since the bug is quite old already: is it still a problem for you?
