I just tested it with this version of Chrome on Ubuntu 20.04.1 LTS
Version 88.0.4324.41 (Offizieller Build) beta (64-Bit)
Normal soundouput like videos and phone rings (MS Teams) use my selected sink,
in my case the headphones.
But as soon as I want to use the microphone it uses my internal spea
I wonder whether this might be an upstream bug. Would you be able to
test with chrome (get it from https://www.google.com/chrome/) and see if
it's similarly affected? If it is, could you please file a bug at
https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/list and share the link to
it here?

I've got the same bug on Ubuntu 20.04 with Chromium 86.0.4240.183 when using
Teams. Every time I call someone or someone calls me it switches source and
sink to my internal laptop microphone and speakers. Then I have to go to the
sound settings where it still shows my headphones as source and si
Even worse, using Ubuntu 18.04, there is no option to change the sink
per application in the audio control panel anymore.
