I use getty auto login, and ".xinitrc" starts startlxqt. Maybe I need to
add lxqt-session, but none needed in the past. It works now with just
exec startlxqt

has been an update since then, and this only happened on this dated ISO.
All the previous ISO's were fine.

I cannot reproduce this. No files in my $HOME are owned by anyone than
my group and user. Additionally, if I edit pcmanfm-qt settings.conf
(after first having created it, usually by editing some function through
the GUI) manually, I can easily toggle features. So something is funky

I noticed that after installing, my home/.config had some files with
ROOT access only. Once changed back to my user and group, then the
desktop wallpaper settings were honored again.
