I thought that hibernate will dump the workspace onto swap. I think it does
that. ho
This would certainly not be a bug in grub, which has nothing to do with
hibernate/resume handling.
What disk is the target for your hibernation? What are the contents of
the RESUME setting in your initramfs? (unmkinitramfs /boot/initrd.img
/tmp/initrd; cat /tmp/initrd/main/conf/conf.d/zz-auto-re
the above approach worked fine in 16.04

ubuntu does not load the image from swap after hibernation
To manage notifications about this bu
forgot to mention: I need the hibernation as this is for a laptop and
using suspend simply drains the battery and it dies, hibernation could
preserve the battery over a week.
