I have a related problem in Gutsy. On wake from suspend or hibernate, my touchpad seems to be 'reset' such that tapping is enabled and scrolling is disabled, and configuration via SHM doesn't have any effect. Now I realize that this is probably because after resume, events are coming via PS/2 emu
