Somehow the Gutsy version of kmix corrupted my
~/kde/share/config/kmixctrlrc and even the Gutsy live CD did not work. I
tried the Hardy live CD and the hardware volume roller worked out of the

have also tried without any model option to see if the auto-detect picks
it up but that didn't work either.
