Thank you for the explanation. I still think it would be much easier to fix
the incorrect URL in the superspec package since that error is causing the
problem with the 18.10 distro. (Assuming anyone is actually interested in
fixing the distro. Currently no one is assigned to fix
The procedure is something like this:
Open the Control center and from there, open the "Software & Updates"
window.
Then click on the second tab "Other software". On the list, uncheck the
checkbox to the left of the source that you are going to disable, in
this case

That is because that particular PPA (personal package archive) is not
available for Ubuntu 18.10. The webupd8 team only
