Yes, at login. I see that the syslog error gnome-panel[1888]: Getting layout failed: GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.UnknownObject: No such object path '/NO_DBUSMENU' is not noted in any search I did. I decided to do unity (I am not a fan, but it seems to work). Would love to see why

Oh... by "At login" do you really mean "After login" ? ** Description changed: I upgraded about a week ago. At login I get only cursor and background. - While gdm-panel is "running", killall only kills it. + While gnome-panel is "running", killall only kills it. ProblemType: Bug
