Really? I open a bug report over two years ago, which only recently gets
tractions and now it's being closed because the kernel used is no longer
supported?! I get that Ubuntu is opensource software, but still is still
disappointing.
Anyhow, I've created a new bug report:
Hello for those who are affected by this.
Can you open a new bug report with a newer kernel / release with command
"ubuntu-bug linux" in a terminal? (4.18 kernel is EOL)
Thanks.

To answer Po-Hsu Lin's question, yes the bug exists in new Ubuntu
version (e.g. 20.04) and corresponding kernels.
How do we solve this? I raised this bug over two years ago, but it does
not seem to get any developer attention.

Same issue with intel 82576, SR-IOV totally broken in fresh Linux like
guest systems. Seems that it is kernel issue with Hyper-V SR-IOV. With
Windows guest OS works without problems.

Hello,
as the 4.18 kernel is no longer supported, do you still seeing this issue with
a newer (supported) kernel?
Thanks

I've done some more testing and found that VMQ is also broken with the
HWE kernel.
