The new mxml 2.4-1 is released at Debian. Now it fix the problem with
ZynAddSubFX.
* Fix loading zynaddsubfx's XML files. (Closes: #442416).

I tested to build the source package of mxml 2.4 which was attached to
the debian bug. ZynAddSubFX worked with it although it still gave errors
in the console.
