I install ubuntu-18.04.1 japanes edition from iso image. I have some PCs, installed same ubuntu. UEFI model(asrock H110M-HDV P7.60) using CMS(Compatibility Support Module), it can install ubuntu-18.04.1, but software update to occur snapd.snap-repair.service is a disabled or a static unit, not starting it. I search ask-ubuntu, and find resoled it. but this PC can not start ubuntu at power on, and shutdown long time. before update (onle ubuntu-18.04.1) work fine. UEFI model not using CMS, it can install ubuntu-18.04.1 and update 18.04.2 work fine. BIOS only model PC, it can install ubuntu-18.04.1 and update 18.04.2 work fine.
