QA-test (live) using Xubuntu hirsute daily on
- dell [optiplex] 755 (c2d-e8300, 8gb, amd/ati radeon rv610/radeon hd2400
pro/xt)
this issue occurred, top panel wasn't expected color, menu items were
lacking icons (just greyish-display).. `xfsettingsd --replace &` fixed
this as usual. ctrl+alt+T
QA-test (live) of Xubuntu groovy/20.10 daily on
dell [optiplex] 755 (c2d-e6850, 5gb, amd/ati radeon rv516/x1300/x1550)
on boot desktop icons were shadow like, opened menu also has no icons for
all.applications, accessories, internet, office, settings & ctrl+alt+T doesn't
work..
A terminal opened
xubuntu 20.04 QA-test on dell vostro 430 (i7-870, 8gb, nvidia geforce gt 6600
gt), or another box where this occurs
xfsettingsd --replace would restore CTRL+ALT+T to working, along with icons on
desktop, and icons on menu..

I also had strange white/black box pattern on boot that was rather
unpleasant, strobe-like effect on mouse movement but it soon settled
down. I did `dmesg |grep squash` & no squashfs e

browser, terminal emulator or help), ctrl+alt+T doesn't work..

opened `thunar` to mount hdd to have music play in background... i mounted my
data ($HOME) directory on hdd and icons were unexpectedly different? i opened
19.10 QA-Test on lenovo thinkpad sl510 (c2d-t6570, 2gb ram, i915)
I noted appearance settings changes weren't having any impact; so in
exploring what was happening I hit ctrl+alt+T and noted this wasn't
working either. My appearance, plus CTRL+ALT+T were fixed with a
`xfsettingsd --replace` comma
