It's a stock Ubuntu 19.04 installation with the default GNOME 3 + Ubuntu dock environment. The only thing I have changed is that Chrome is my default browser. If I run the xdg-open command the browser window is not grouped with the terminal window. I can still reliaby reproduce this with the

I can't reproduce the behavior with Gnome shell (and Dash to dock extention). What kid of desktop environment and dock application is this? Can you try the following: - close the browser - open the terminal - run: xdg-open https://google.com Is the browser window grouped with the terminal window
