After refreshing the page the problem did not continue to occur.

I just installed Ubuntu yesterday on a new high-end, custom-built
desktop, after having issues with using a couple of Manjaro desktop
environments. Just now, while typing in this field, there were a few
lags, but the text still displays correctly.
