the new properties file is added. with the default commented out. now
people can change it on their own. I intend to keep the nimbus lf for
lucid.

I second this request. Java apps with GTKLookAndFeel look much better
integrated than the ones with MetalLookAndFeel.
I think all we need to do is ...
