Although the bug seemed fixed, the same happened to me today. I'm using a Ryzen 5 2600, GTX 1060 6GB, 16GB DDR4 RAM and the Ubuntu 19.10, and after I've done a fresh install and rebooted the system, I couldn't login. My Xorg log was the same as the reported above and the resolution was the same,
