No, those things works. I've tried it with aMSN and it just works. Cheese crashes if I don't create symlink /dev/video to /dev/video0 manualy. Camorama also works perfectly. It seems Cheese is one of those apps that rely on /dev/video and can't find other devices. It doesn't even have setting to do
