Public bug reported: Binary package hint: kernel-image-2.6.24-4-generic-di
When booting hardy images on my AMD64 box, I get a kernel panic immediately. I've tried the alpha3 image and the snapshot from 1/20/08. HW: Athlon64 x2 BE-2400 4 GB ram Asus m2a-vm hdmi motherboard (AMD 690G chipset) sata HD sata DVD sata set to AHCI mode in the bios (tried IDE mode, no difference) See attached image for call traces. Unfortunately, there seems to be several places where the kernel panics (very depending on reboot). I've run memtest86 for several hours and no problems came up so it doesn't appear to be a ram issue. ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- hardy AMD64 kernel panic on boot https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/184883 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
