I see. Unfortunately, the bug just returned, too, so hotkey-setup wasn't
the culprit after all. Switching distros or OSes may be the only
solution so far.

I have had a similar problem, running Kubuntu Hardy with all updates. My
error was most commonly with the win key, but the alt key has gotten
stuck as well, and has been happening for the last week or so. I cannot
confirm it, but it seemed to happen when I use global hot keys (for
