I closed time-admin, started it again, and again it tells me to install
NTP. Installing it does nothing, of course, since it's already
installed. Workaround: System->Administration->Services, and enable NTP
there.

again, you can use NTP synchronization.

I would have to agree with the others. NTP is installed properly and I
have been unable to bypass this. Keep receiving the dialog box that
features
"Please install and activate NTP support in the system to enable
synchronization of your local time server with internet time servers."

I can confirm this with gnome-system-tools 2.21.92-0ubuntu1 on Hardy.
After automatically installing ntp support with time-admin, the dialog
asking you if you want to install ntp support continues to redisplay
itself and you are not able to select "Keep synchronized with internet
servers" until re
