Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-panel

Workspace Switcher 2.18.1

Preferences menu (right click on the workspaces applet in the task bar to
access this).
Doubleclick on one of the names in 'Workspace names' box.
Change the name to whatever, for example 'test' (without the quotes).
When cursor is still in 'Workspace names' box, click on 'Close'. Preferrences
closes, but changed name is not retained.
Reopen Preferences and notice that name is the old name again, so not 'test'
(unless 'test' was the previous name of course).
For example, if the name was 'Desk 1', it will remain 'Desk 1' and not become
'test'.

Workaround: press enter or click somewhere in the preferences window,
and the change will be retained and effected immediately (for example,
if the function 'Show workspace names in switcher' is checked, the
names in the task-bar applet will change right away.
