I am not sure I understand the reported bug but mayavi2 will not install on
Hardy for me any more (it used to till a few days ago).
I will appreciate a solution...
(I deeply appreciate the introduction of such a variety of scientific packages,
especially python based - excellent work!!!)
Eldad, this bug report means that mayavi2 has been imported for Debian
into Ubuntu. If you are having trouble with mayavi2, please don't answer
here, but file a brand new bug instead:

Sorry for duplicating the SyncRequest (there is already enough noise in
