Public bug reported: The garbage collection function in Mod Security for Apache/2.7.7 dos not work correctly.
The database file "default_SESSION.pag" is growing so big, that it does not fits on the partition and Apache is getting slow (and after some time, it dos a lot of read actions, which causes a high IO-waiting time and a slow working machine). It seems that there is already a fix in version 2.9. Upgrading to Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (that already contains version 2.9), is not yet an option (so we are using ESM) https://issues.redhat.com/browse/JBCS-234?_sscc=t Is it possible that version 2.9 will be available for 14.04 ESM? ** Affects: modsecurity-apache (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apache modsecurity -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1855682 Title: ModSecurity2 version in 14.04 ESM garbage collection not working To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/modsecurity-apache/+bug/1855682/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
