Are there any news on this? I'm experiencing the exact same problem with Ubuntu
20.10 and Kernel 5.4.0-65, Seagate Nytro XM1441 Datacenter drives.
Also tried 5.8 from the HWE stack, didn't help either. The drives work with
Kernel 5.3.13.

that the NVMe drive _is_ detected correctly:
