Hi. The bug doesn't happen with Hardy. My guess is that there were conflicts
with the different wxWidgets library versions installed on my previous
system.

you meant by "Curves" menu? I am trying it on Hardy and plot various functions
and dont find any crash. It will be great if you can also get back to us, if
you are still facing the crash issue on Hardy.
