Public bug reported: Hello!
I have Ubuntu Gutsy. If I click on places - "connect to server" and fill out the form for ssh, I get an icon on the desktop, but not a message while connecting. A window with the connecting status would be fine. I always do not know what is up, if the computer is still trying to find the server or what else happens. Yesterday I saw that my girlfriend had the same problem. She could not connect to my system and did not know why. Then I decided to report this as a bug. It would be great, if the window would inform the user if the ping is not ok, the port is closed or something like that.
