This is certainly a dupe of bug 1869008. I don't know how to check the
version number. I tried 'dpkg -s ubiquity-slideshow-ubuntu' but got the
message that such a package is not installed. I haven't seen any other
places listing Thunderbird as supported.

This should be fixed in bug 1869008 and included in newer images. Could
you check the version of `ubiquity-slideshow-ubuntu` if this is a
duplicate or if there are more places listing Thunderbird as supported?
