In Oneiric the interface has changed again. The menu entry for IPP
printers now only allows entering the full URI. If the printer is not
one of the auto-detected network printers (wait until the animated
circle at the lower left of the window disappears), try Find network
printer and enter
I tried this again in 11.04. It looks like the interface has changed a
bit since this bug was entered
There is a field labeled Queue: with the default value of /printers/
in it.
It seems the Verify... and Forward buttons are disabled unless you

I also have the same problem.
Network printing not working in karmic is not a secondary issue!
It's a regression, everything was fine in 9.04.

Hi Henrik,
I don't think this bug is related. When I tried this, I was directly entering
the IP of the printer(which should not involve DNS lookups AFAIK), and it fails
in this case.

I had the same issue today as well. Using Other works fine with the
full URI, but IPP doesn't let me do anything, either when using the IP
address or hostname of the printer.
