I have a usecase for disabling kernel modules: I need to disable uas when booting (or at least after booting) a livecd: All my usb3 to SATA adapters load uas.ko when plugged, then promptly malfunction. They work when plugged into a usb2 port. Deleting uas.ko breaks usb hotplug. I am assuming that

I am unable to find any support in the mainline kernel for the disablemodules kernel parameter now or in the past? I am also unable to find the option used on the alternate CD. It seems that a general solution would be possible for non-builtin modules with a simple modification to
