How did you install calibre?
Could you please attach the output of `apt policy calibre*` and `snap
list | grep calibre` to see what it lists for the deb-packages and/or
snap

Ok, have you tried to remove the package through Ubuntu Software? Is it
still listed as installed there?
I am still curious about the output of `apt policy calibre*` and `snap

Then I don't know I'm afraid. I've marked this as also affecting gnome-
software for someone to take a look at it from that angle.
