Bad news. According to this Bug #197135, open source ati driver is going to be blacklisted for compiz in Hardy. So ATI radeon IGP 340M won't have compiz by default in Hardy, even if it always worked well with it. I opened a bug for this, bug #201330 -- Radeon xserver shows corrupt display on
