Public bug reported: yq is (excerpt from the repository): "a lightweight and portable command-line YAML processor. The aim of the project is to be the jq or sed of yaml files.".
jq is already packaged on Ubuntu, so yq would be a logical and nice addition. The repository is located in https://github.com/mikefarah/yq The license is MIT, so I don't think would be problems in this aspect. There is a Snap package and a PPA available, but IMHO native packaging is usually better. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: needs-packaging -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1886198 Title: yq To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1886198/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
