for me it is even worse. even without running VirtualBox, i cannot get
myself connected to my wireless network!
Steps to reproduce:
-install ubuntu hardy (both alpha 4 and 6 suffer)
-install virtualbox (using add/remove software)
-a reboot is needed (because virtualbox installed a new kernel!?)

Stijn, virtualbox does not require a new/another kernel (which then
triggers the bug apparently or you are missing some (restricted?)
modules for the other kernel). Is it from -generic to -386 for you?
