I have the same problem but here it does not connect. Both green balls
are lit up in the applet and it keeps spinning forever although I cannot
ping out, etc.

I get the same thing with a wireless network. It all connects, I can
browse the web, but nm-applet never stops spinning and doesn't add the
network to the list of saved wireless networks.

Hi there
do you still experience this issue with the current version of the
application?, could you please try to reproduce this using the live
environment of the Desktop CD of the development release - Hardy Heron.

Attached is the result of sniffing traffic with wireshark and trimming
out everything but IGMP, DHCP and a couple of stray DNS packets.
This does look identical to bug #190142 as running "dhclient eth0" by
hand does not show the same problem.

Could you please run Wireshark listening on "port 67" and attach capture
file here? It's got similar symptoms as my bug #190142.
