To manage notifications about
Are you sure you are running Unity? Could you please paste the output of
the printenv command? Or at least the value of "XDG_CURRENT_DESKTOP",
"XDG_SESSION_DESKTOP", "XDG_SESSION_TYPE", "XDG_SESSION_PATH" and
"DESKTOP_SESSION" variables. To do that, type echo $variable_name in
Terminal.
