Based on your last comment, I've marked this bug incomplete.
I'm unsure how familiar you are with motherboards, but you could have
given the motherboard a good visual scan (looking for swollen caps,
etc). Either way from your description, and age of the box, it's
possibly not worth the effort.

Thank you for your response. I have come to the conclusion the
motherboard is defective. I won't go into details on this but I have
tried so many different things and hard drives all with the same
results. I even tried to install a couple of old Windows operating
