If this is an upgrade, please try without any xorg.conf. When rebooting after the crash, use Recovery mode and copy the Xorg.0.log somewhere so that you can attach it here. Then change to the "vesa" driver in xorg.conf (you'll need one then) so that you can boot up normally. Once you have booted,
