Hello Timo.
I have been provided the following materials from the Intel O/S group
and require some assistance in how to deploy it to my environment:
https://patchwork.freedesktop.org/series/82308/
Can you please provide me instructions on how to apply above test patch?
Thank you.

Hello Timo.
I completed my testing using the generic_5.8.0 (2020-08-25 05:38) and
generic_5.9.0 (current/2020-09-15 02:44) kernel files that you linked
me.
The steps I used were as follows:
1. Download the kernel files (linux-image, linux-module) to a removable USB
2. Boot to target Ubuntu 20.04
or use wget:
wget https://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/drm-intel-
next/current/amd64/linux-image-unsigned-5.8.0-050800drmintelnext20200825
generic_5.8.0-050800drmintelnext20200825.202008242209_amd64.deb
wget https://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/drm-intel-
next/current/amd64/li
dpkg only works with local files, not over the network.. you need to
download them first, and the url to the directory is
https://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/drm-intel-
next/current/amd64/

Hello Timo.
Can you please document the steps on how to install these kernel files
to the Live-USB versions of Ubuntu so that they are loaded at the time
that the Live-USB is?
Or do these kernel files need to be deployed as part of a Windows/Ubuntu

Hello Timo.
I have completed testing with both 18.04.5 and 20.04.1.
With both versions of Ubuntu I was able to reproduce the described bug
using the same steps in my report.
I have attached photos of the Ubuntu environments as they were loaded
during my testing. Please let me know if you require
Or use 18.04.5 which has kernel 5.4 backported from 20.04.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. It seems that your bug report is not filed about a
specific source package though, rather it is just filed against Ubuntu
in general. It is important that bug reports be filed about source
packages so that people
