Public bug reported: Last week I installed krfb in my Ubuntu Studio Groovy test installation so that I can RDP into it from a Windows laptop. It ran fine, and I was able to enter the password that was automatically generated and displayed in the krfb setup window, and use Ubuntu from the Windows laptop.
Yesterday when I ran krfb (both from the GUI menu, and from the command line) to get the password again so I could log in from the windows laptop, nothing happens. There is no error message on the terminal or anything, it just silently fails. Today, there was an update to the latest upstream version (20.8.2), but this did not fix the problem.
