I've tried to reproduce this problem running the following commands:
ubuntu@focal:~$ fallocate -l 8G /home/ubuntu/disk.img
ubuntu@focal:~$ sudo zpool create pool1 /home/ubuntu/disk.img
ubuntu@focal:~$ sudo zfs create -o encryption=on -o keyformat=passphrase
pool1/pool1
Enter passphrase:
Re-enter
I was able to reliably reproduce the bug on that machine on the same day
several times, so the bug was there definitely, even after rebooting,
but I wasn't able to reproduce it after opening the bug.

I was wondering if this is still an issue, mainly because it may be due
to dependencies that now have changed and the bug no longer occurs. I'll
mark this bug as Invalid in 6 weeks if we don't here of any changes.

I currently can't reproduce the problem myself.
I do recall that it was the order of mounting. I have a freshly created
zpool where the pool was created with one password, and one of it's sub-
ZFS-trees with a different one, wanted to mount it and make the mistake
to enter a wrong password for the
