Since the Debianers used rt2500, I have tried the same - but without
luck. The version from Ubuntu repository didn't want to compile with
module-assista
When I asked him, he said he was not doing any backporting unless it
was a segfault.

Do you by chance have a pointer to the upstream patch that went into
2.6.25 to resolve this? I didn't see anything in the upstream thread
and it would be helpful to the kernel team. Thanks.
