Public bug reported: Did the rather smooth upgrade from 18.04 to 20.04. Before, Pulse Audio Volume Control was on my desktop, and frequently used. After the upgrade it would invariably fail at start. Segfault immediately when started from the command line.
Some research brought the reason to the front: Installed was (only) pavucontrol-qt. I removed it, and installed pavucontrol and everything was fine. I assume this is an upgrade / package error.? ** Affects: grub2 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1906446 Title: pavucontrol wrong package at update to 20.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/grub2/+bug/1906446/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
