Public bug reported:

Did the rather smooth upgrade from 18.04 to 20.04. Before, Pulse Audio
Volume Control was on my desktop, and frequently used. After the upgrade
it would invariably fail at start. Segfault immediately when started
from the command line.

Some research brought the reason to the front: Installed was (only)
pavucontrol-qt. I removed it, and installed pavucontrol and everything
was fine. I assume this is an upgrade / package error.?

** Affects: grub2 (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
