I did force the older version of libgs8 (Do not know how to do it but
with synaptic package manager) and the dependency problem disappeared.
It sounds strange for me that the 'newer' version had got a lower number
than the 'older' one, but don't know about it, maybe the problem was
somehow there.
I am reporting here because I thought depending on both the <= and >=
could be the problem, as I can not install the package either. Could it
be that the dependencies are not met if you don't have BOTH the <= and
the >= versions for libgs9? For me the option of installing the lower
version dire

libokularcore1-kde4 now depends on both libgs8 (<=8.61.dfsg.1-2) and
(>=8.61.dfsg.1-1) which seems to cover all posible version so
dependencies are met now. Works good.

libgs8 (=8.61.dfsg.1-1) and there is 8.61.dfsg.1-1ubuntu1 in repository.
