Oops. Seems I was tricked by (b) in comment #3 again. The current
crashes being reported can't be attributed to "freeze/thaw" accounting
because errors.ubuntu.com doesn't look at enough of the stack trace to
confirm that. We only know that some people are experiencing crashes in
g_log(), which is

Could the faulty GPU memory be
There's a slight chance this bug isn't real, if:
(a) The version mentioned in comment 38 of bug 1897765 is wrong; and
(b) errors.ubuntu.com does not group crashes accurately beyond the first
five stack frames.
If both (a) and (b) are true then this bug might not be real. So I would
like to see
