an FFe.

hm, from the bug description it's hard for me to deduct what feature is
part of the FFe. It feels to me that this is more of a bugfix than a new
feature? Or is the bugfix part of a new upstream release that will
introduce new fixes?
I think I'd like to get more information before deciding on this
