This change is not applicable to current versions of Ubuntu, which do
not use checkfs.sh/mountall.sh from sysvinit.
If this problem is reproducible with mountall in current releases of
Ubuntu, please reassign this bug there.

This is not an issue anymore as networking is configured by udev prior
to checkfs and mountall are called. Reassigning to sysvrc (which has the
initscripts binary package, which in turn has these rc scripts) and
setting priority to wishlist.
