Title:
Dock is sporadically blank when booting up
Since I applied the latest updates I've not had the issue. I will give
it a few days and if the problem arises I will apply your patch and see
if that resolves it.

Thanks for the bug report. Please try this (from bug 1874578):
gsettings set org.gnome.shell.extensions.dash-to-dock show-mounts false
and then log in again.
