I can confirm this Bug.
I shared like 5 directories using nautilus and now, when I right-click
those directories in nautilus they don't show as shared but I know they
are still being shared because other machines in my network can
write/read to those folders.

My first post includes a way to reproduce.
The first time you do it. it works. Next time if you go back to shares-admin,
henceforth it will just ignore all changes.
The first time being- first time since you logged into the system and
started shares-admin and first quit after that.
