- I use an IR remote with the ir-keytable package. Everything was working
- fine until kernel 5.8.0-49 was automatically installed by Software
- Updater on Ubuntu 20.04.2. When any key is pressed on the remote, the
- key is repeated about 500 times. The kernel is now 5.8

According to his reply in comment #20 above, the fix was successfully
applied to kernel 5.10 but should not have been backported since the
problem did not exist in kernels < 5.10. A user on the MythTV forum is
