So I just installed a fresh Ubuntu 20.04 LTS on my desktop. I also
installed KDE plasma. I install steam from the respiratory too. As usual
steam tries to update after I launch it. It searches for the new update
and then stops with the following error: Fatal Error: Steam needs to be
online to update. Please confirm your network connection and try again.
I almost tried everything from installing libnss-resolve:i386 and
libnss-resolve which seems to be missing dependency (I found this
solution in your forum) up to pinging media.steampowered.com and
changing hosts file. But no chance. The steam version is
1:1.0.0.61-2ubuntu3.
